WoW Realm Manager 1.0
Yes this is another Launcher for WoW but I have put a lot of
effort into this project so I would appreciate if you would take
a look at some of the features I have put in here that I believe
makes my launcher stand out among the rest! :D
1. You are able to store as many servers as you want, no limit like 2 or 6 servers
2. You can enable Auto-login for each individual server
3. You can 'Ping' a server to check it's status(more info at bottom)
4. Changes your realmlist and launches wow for you automatically
5. Easily switch between servers using the tray menu
6. Clear you cache
7. Check Server option(more info at bottom)
Screenshots

Pinging servers: I don't use the built in 'ping'
command, what my program does is try to make a TCP connection to
the servers logon port so you're guaranteed a more accurate result
if the server is up or not.
Check Server: Server down? Not sure when
it'll be back up? Check server will check
the specified server every 10 seconds to
see if it's back up and will notify you when
it is.

i'm a bit new to programming and this is actually the first program i actually finished making fully.
took about a day cause i had to learn a few things about autoit. i know some basics of C++
but i personally find autoit a very easy language to write in. I hear VB is easy too but i
just never fancied it much to actually try it ;D

[font=Comic Sans MS][color=#93df00]I was going to update my [Realmlist.C++] software to do exactly what your software does but since you already have done it i will stick your topic and unstick mine.
Nice release and good luck with the project ;)

JotaC

Thanks for the comments ;D
had fun programming it
to those having problems with bugs, i'll try and fix it. never had those bugs before and works find for me. i'll look into it.
Lysolfs:Hm... always says, server is up, but it isnt
Ping seems find. the server must be responding to the ping, cant resolve it.
Lysolfs:And if i click "Ping Again" or "Add Server" its going to start WoW... not good :-/
No problems here with the "Ping again" or "Add Server".
± Jozhua ±: whenever i start it up it says "could not find launcher please define location" i define it restart rehappen Sad also happens when i add server
it seems it's not writing the new settings to the dir.ini. open dir.ini and at the last line(wowexe=...) change the location to the appropriate one. Note, i don't
get that bug.
I tested this on XP and Vista and it worked fine on both. I had none of these errors or bugs.
Hope this helps guys. ;)

I have pre-bc wow installed in regular directory, bc wow in another - I want manager to change realmlist of the bc one. How do I go about that? ATM it only changes the pre-bc realmlist and I can't figure out how to change location.

Lol im suprised to see this thread cause i just finished a project similar to yours XD
Which port are you scanning? Cause if you're scaning 80 it will show the status of the webpage not the login server (so 98% it will be online)...if im right the default Logon Server port is 3724 or 8093. I tested both with the servers you have listed in your program and i connected to all server only with port 3724 (and fast) while i had only 2 connections with 8093 and it took a long time
I also had a message about the launcher but it only appeared to me once (i canceled the dialog :P .. note i havent changed anything since, like add/delete servers..so as i can see from other posts i havent encountered the other errors)
Also try to read the wow installation path from registry (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINEsoftwareBlizard EntertainmentWorld of Warcraft) cause its useless to make the user define it (the fact that he has to type the filename by hand is making this even more annoying >.<)
Needs some work but nice try ^_^ keep it up
